Start and Finish: Airbnb Brooklyn Half finish line Location : Pier 2 at Brooklyn Bridge Park, 150 Furman Street, Brooklyn, NY Start: Washington Avenue, just south of Eastern Parkwayįinish: Coney Island boardwalk, at Stillwell AvenueĪirbnb Brooklyn Half Pre-Party presented by New Balance The second annual NYRR Kids’ Boardwalk Run at the Airbnb Brooklyn Half, part of the NYRR Youth Running Series, will bring high school, middle school, and elementary school students, including more than 700 kids from NYRR’s Mighty Milers and Young Runners youth running programs, to Coney Island for a one-mile out-and-back course along one of the most celebrated stretches of the boardwalk. In addition to picking up race numbers and materials, runners and individuals in the surrounding communities of Brooklyn are invited to spend some time at Pier 2, Brooklyn Bridge Park, enjoying the sights, sounds, and flavors of the Brooklyn borough. The Airbnb Brooklyn Half Pre-Party presented by New Balance, is an event filled with celebrations of fitness, hospitality, and live musical performances throughout the day and evening. Approximately 27,000 participants of all ages and abilities, including some of the area’s top local elite runners, are expected to run from the historic Brooklyn Museum down to the finish line on the iconic Coney Island boardwalk. The sold out 2016 Airbnb Brooklyn Half, part of the NYRR Five-Borough Series, is a 13.1-mile race celebration through the Brooklyn Borough on Saturday, May 21.
